On the 19th of November 2024, the KwaDukuza Municipality, in partnership with R2E2 NPC, hosted a highly successful clean-up campaign in Ntshawini. Led by the Honorable Mayor Cllr Ali Ngidi, the initiative brought together residents, community leaders, and stakeholders to tackle waste in the area, promote environmental awareness, and encourage responsible waste management practices.

The campaign focused on collecting litter and addressing illegal dumping sites while emphasizing the importance of recycling, particularly electronic waste (e-waste). R2E2 contributed its expertise in waste collection and recycling, providing resources to ensure the proper handling of materials.

The Mayor commended the partnership between the Municipality and R2E2, highlighting the collective effort as a step toward building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable KwaDukuza.

This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between local government, non-profit organizations, and the community in achieving long-term environmental goals.
